Il rito è un insieme di atti che compongono un’usanza, una cerimonia, una liturgia. Prassi abituali, talvolta sentite come inderogabili o inevitabili, che possono rassicurare le nostre intenzioni o sollevare interrogativi su chi siamo.  

Queste opere nascono dalla necessità di indagare il rapporto con la propria identità: fluida, mutevole e in continuo divenire. Gli artisti sono in costante dialogo con la propria storia, sia essa “famigliare” o “individuale”.

Generatrice di codici culturali che oggi appartengono alle nostre identità, “la famiglia” è colei che ci mette di fronte alla consapevolezza che non esistiamo solo per noi stessi, ma che siamo parte di una collettività che ci accompagna, attraverso riti di riconoscimento.

Inevitabile è la nascita di un dialogo personale, forse il più complicato da gestire, attraverso la lettura della propria storia e delle proprie idee, che ci conduce a una quiete apparente.

Il rito quindi si carica di quella sacralità dalla quale non possiamo prescindere quando ci raccontiamo, ed è proprio quell’aura magica e inafferrabile che crea un fil rouge capace di tessere la trama che unisce questi artisti, così diversi tra loro nella forma, ma che tengono a portare avanti discorsi simili e a condividerli, comunicando attraverso simboli culturali, ancestrali e primitivi.

Ritual is a set of acts that make up a custom, a ceremony, a liturgy. Habitual practices, sometimes felt as inescapable or inevitable, that can reassure our intentions or raise questions about who we are.  

These works arise from the need to investigate the relationship with one's identity: fluid, changeable and in constant flux. Artists are in constant dialogue with their own history, whether "family" or "individual."

Generator of cultural codes that today belong to our identities, "family" is the one who confronts us with the awareness that we do not exist only for ourselves, but that we are part of a collective that accompanies us, through rites of recognition.

Inevitable is the emergence of a personal dialogue, perhaps the most complicated to manage, through the reading of one's history and ideas, which leads us to an apparent stillness.

The ritual then becomes charged with that sacredness from which we cannot disregard when we tell our stories, and it is precisely that magical and elusive aura that creates a thread capable of weaving the web that unites these artists, so different in form, but who hold to carry on similar discourses and share them, communicating through cultural, ancestral and primitive symbols.
